Elizabeth
Einstein, M.A., MFT, is one of
America’s leading experts on stepfamily dynamics. A marriage and family
therapist in Ithaca, New York, she presents Strengthening Stepfamilies workshops internationally, training
professionals and teaching families. Her Stepfamily Living educational
materials are widely used to create successful stepfamilies, and she was
responsible for the revisions and updates in the new edition of this book.
She served on the first board of directors of the Stepfamily Association
of America and founded its national newsletter. An advocate for
stepfamilies, Ms. Einstein continues to make media appearances.
Linda
Albert, Ph.D., a nationally syndicated columnist, author, public speaker and former
college professor and teacher, has been advising parents and educators for
more than 25 years on such challenges as helping children adjust to
divorce and stepfamily living, coping with inappropriate and discouraged
behavior, overcoming academic and developmental difficulties, reducing
violence and substance abuse, and boosting self-esteem. A mother,
stepmother, grandmother, and step-grandmother, she resides in
Tampa,
Florida.
